FSC Certified for environmentally responsible print management
For over 25 years, Computastat has been a pioneer in print management. As part of that, we have always taken our environmental responsibilities very seriously and are continuously looking for new ways to introduce environmentally friendly processes and materials into our print offer. Being FSC Certified is a cornerstone of this strategy.
What is the FSC?
The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) was founded in 1993 as a non-profit organisation to ensure the world’s forests are managed responsibly and sustainably, wildlife is protected and the rights of local communities are respected.
How does it work?
The FSC operates a Chain of Custody process to verify the source of timber. This involves inspecting and auditing the land from which timber and pulpwood are taken and tracking products right through the various production processes to the end user. So this includes monitoring the paper manufacturer, distributor and printing by an FCS Certified print company. This process has to be independently verified before any product is able to carry the FSC logo.
How do I qualify to add the FSC Certified logo on my products?
Computastat is an FSC Certified printer and the majority of our print products are FSC Certified. We are therefore authorised to add the worldwide respected FSC logo on your printed products.
What does the FSC Certified logo stand for?
With increasingly ‘environmentally educated’ businesses and public alike, more and more people demand environmental responsibility from the organisations they deal with and buy products from. The FSC logo on your printed products will reassure them of your credentials.
